This is Phang Nga Bay wonderful natural and sea site scenery of Thailand. Phang Nga Bay is a sub-region of the Andaman Sea. Normally when we think of the Andaman Sea, the first thing that occurs in our mind is the deep blue clear sea but Phang Nga Bay offers more than that. Emerald shade, shallow, mangrove, and sea cave is the character of Phang Nga Bay.
Phang Nga Bay is well known when the famous Hollywood film series James Bond choose James Bond Island as the location for the movie " Man With The Gun " in 1974. Last fighting scene between Mr. Bond by "Roger Moore" and Francisco Scaramanga by "Christopher Lee ". Make tourists wonder "Where is this place?".By the movie, it makes Phang Nga Bay well known to the world. And 1997, the James Bond series has been as the scene in "Tomorrow Never Died " by Pierce Brosnan makes all James Bond Series fans love to visit the bay as Phang Nga Bay has picturesque scenery and fully mangrove.
Thailand Government has established Phang Nga as National Park in 1981 with 41 islands include James Bond Island-the famous landmark in Phang Nga. Although this island is known as James Bond Island, Thai known it as Khao Ping Kan which means "hills leaning against each other" in Thai that creates a wonderful landscape of cliff and cave. In front of the beach is the Historical Scenery of James Bond Island. From the beach, you can see the famous "Stack" of Lonely Rock that has Crab eye shape. In Thai, they call it Ta Pu which means Crab eye.
The next bay that is also shown in the movie Tomorrow Never Died is the Emerald Bay which is known by the name of Hong Island. Hong means room in Thai as the area of this island has an entrance surround by cliffs that look like doors and walls in rooms. Famous activity in Hong Island is kayaking. You can ask the local crew about the activity, but some might include in your trip already.
Last but not least is Floating Village-Panyee Island. Muslim fishermen villagers built houses on the island.
The easier way is by booking the package tour which you can decide whether to choose trip by speedboat or by big boat. All trips include the kayaking activity but you get twice the activities when choosing a trip by big boat. Plus, the trips will also include James Bond Island. On the other hand, if you prefer privacy, you can have a journey by private boat-which may costing a lot but your timing will be more flexible.
