Similan Island, an 85km northwest of Phuket with around 3 Hours by Minivan and Speed Boat to reach the island. I tired but Worth it. This little archipelago often features among the most interesting diving areas in the world and has also become a favorite destination for yacht and boat tours. Its name is derived from Sembilan, the Malay word for 9. Ever wonder why? This is because there are 9 islands in Similan, each has a number as well as a name. These are, from north to south:

1.  Koh Ba Ngu (No. 9)

2. Similan (No. 8), Payu (No. 7)

3. Miang (No. 4, No. 5 and, in some opinion, No. 6)

4. Payan (No. 3)

5. Payang (No. 2)

6. Hu Yong (No. 1)

The highlight of Similan Island is the white coral-sand beaches, splendidly picturesque and often deserted make it among the best choice for the scuba divers to have a visit to Similan Island.
